One of the most fun things about beach sessions is how different every single session looks because of the weather, light, and ever changing beach scenery. I never get tired of doing family beach photography. It is captivating and gorgeous every time! I offer 4 different options all year long. While sunrise and sunset sessions are my most popular and are taken first, I also offer the other options as well. This blog article is written to help you choose the session that is best for your family.

Meghan and Gordon are the kind of couple who are just so easy going and kind. I knew we’d get along when their engagement session was a s’mores roast and camping adventure on our farm. Their downtown Mobile wedding at the Crown Hall was fun, modern, and elegant. From beginning to end, the details of their wedding were beautiful, intentional, and sentimental. My favorite element was the heirloom silver goblet that had been used in weddings since the late 1800’s. Also, please note their love of their pets displayed by the tiny black lab figurine on their wedding cake and the doggy and kitty treats left on the table for all of the guests to take home to happy pets. The glow stick exit was the icing on the cake to a fun evening of dancing.

Alexis and her husband reached out about booking a last minute couples session while they were vacationing in Gulf Shores. Since I was working on Dauphin Island that evening, they decided to drive over to where I was already going to be working, and we did their session earlier.
Since their session was scheduled a couple of hours earlier than sunset, their photos have a very different feel from much of my work, but I love how rich the colors are.
Even though it stormed like crazy all day leading up to their session, we had gorgeous, sunny weather. The warm glow throughout all of their photos is the stuff dreams are made of.
Adventure couple sessions should definitely be a new thing. What do you think?

You’d never believe that I shot a wedding the morning before this session standing in the rain. We had texted back and forth about whether or not to move forward with their session, and we decided to take the risk. I am so glad we did.
I’ve never seen a coastal sunset like the one we were given this April evening. There was an unusual cloud cover that magnified the sun and cast an unusual orange glow. By the end of our session, a fine, Gulf mist had risen into the air, and it made it look almost as if we were in the desert instead of on the beach.
Isn’t this couple gorgeous?! They were so natural and kind-hearted. I think going to Gulf Shores for your maternity photos should definitely be a thing. What do you think?
