Have you ever went grocery shopping without a list? Ummm... I have. When I got to the checkout, I was shocked by how much I spent. Because I didn't prepare, I did what "felt" right, and in the end, sticker shock taught me a powerful lesson that applies to wedding days too. I needed a list.

Lacey and Dustin are one of those precious dream couples that photographers pray for. They are just as sweet and as in love as they look. When I launched my photography business in addition to web and graphic design at the beginning of this year, I had no idea how well it would take off. Originally, I intended to only offer photography on my farm, but as the need to travel with it has come up again and again, I am launching my new website to show the new direction my business is taking.

Did you know I almost didn’t launch my photography business this year? I felt this prompting in my spirit that I needed to move forward, but I hesitated. I love doing photography, but my life was already so full. I was afraid. I knew I could take beautiful photos. I was doing that of my family and friends already. The thing that made me unsure was showing people my mess. People would know I didn’t have it altogether all of the time.

Have you ever felt like your life was just one big, disorganized mess? That no matter how hard you tried or how genuine your intentions were that you couldn’t get it completely right. You were trying. You really were. Things were just falling apart faster than you could fix them. Treading water day after day kept you alive but was not your idea of thriving.
